Man in critical condition after stabbing in Tooting restaurant

Detectives are seeking information after a man was 'seriously injured' in a stabbing in Tooting on Friday evening (14 May).

The police were called to a South London Hospital just before 8pm after a 25-year-old man attended with stab injuries.

Enquiries confirmed that the assault happened approximately ten minutes earlier at a restaurant on Upper Tooting Road.

A crime scene has been established.

A 39-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and remains in custody.

The 25-year-old victim reportedly remains in a critical condition.

Detectives from the Met's South West Basic Command Unit are investigating and would like to hear from anybody with information about the attack.
