A Tooting eatery has won Deliveroo's Restaurant of the Year and Best Editions Restaurant Award.

The Athenian, which has a popular branch in Tooting Market, has been praised for its commitment to delivery and going above and beyond to support its staff.

A spokesperson for The Athenian said: "We are so so proud and thankful for all our amazing Athenian staff who have made this possible in such a challenging year."

The Athenian built its brand by serving authentic Greek souvlaki - and has been a huge supporter of the local community, previously delivering 2500 meals to NHS staff.

Nando's was crowned the 'Most-Loved Chain' and 'Awarded by Riders' award, being praised for its iconic food and friendliness upon collection.

Aldi also bagged an award for housing the 'Best Essentials' for customers to grab off Deliveroo.
