The Woodfield Pavilion, a volunteer-led community space in Tooting Bec Common, runs a pop-up cafe every weekend in support of small sometimes un-discovered food vendors.

This weekend the Pavilion is hosting their first ever Italian Food Festival.

Tomorrow (11th) four tables will be placed outside for the community to come and enjoy the local food on offer. Two chefs will be in the kitchen cooking authentic Italian dishes.

Saturday (12th) and Sunday (13th) will have five tables outside to allow for more people at once to enjoy what's on offer.

Residents will also be able to purchase an Italian Festival hamper filled with home-made from the local makers.

All of the money raised will be split between the local food vendors and The Woodfield Project charity.

The Woodfield Project aims to engage with and celebrate the diversity of the community and natural environment. TWP aims to develop the pavilion as a 'go-to hub' for people to share in culture, festivities, ideas, learning and well-being.

The Italian Food Festival runs Friday 11 December – Sunday 13 December, 11am – 3:30pm.

You can keep up to date with The Italian Food Festival on Woodfield Pavilion's Instagram.

Tooting Nub News will be attending the festival across the weekend to bring exclusive updates and interviews.
