Regular litter picks continue to take place across Tooting Common to battle the constant rubbish problem.

Due to the easing of COVID restrictions volunteers are now able to again gather in bigger numbers and partake in the clean-up.

Peter Ramell, Chair of the Friends Of Tooting Common group, said:

"Everyone is welcome to join us. However, as we only have a limited number of litter-picking sticks, there might not be enough for everyone, and these will be handed out on a first-come, first-served basis.

"If you have your own litter picking stick, please bring it.

"We will have plenty of rubbish and recycling bags available. A hand sanitiser will also be available."

The next litter pick will be taking place this Wednesday (19 May) from 11.30am to 12.45pm.
