Tooting residents can get tested for coronavirus in Wandsworth this week

Tooting residents who think think they may have contracted Coronavirus can get tested in Wandsworth today (23rd), Thursday (26th) and Sunday (29th).

Please note the test will not show if you have already had Covid-19, only if you have the infection on the day of the test.

The council is reminding residents to not turn up without an appointment – those who have not booked will not be tested.

The details of the location will be given to you when you book.

Should you get tested?

The main symptoms of the disease are:

• A high temperature – this means you feel hot to touch on your chest or back (you do not need to measure your temperature)

• A new, continuous cough – this means coughing a lot for more than an hour, or 3 or more coughing episodes in 24 hours (if you usually have a cough, it may be worse than usual)

• Loss or change to your sense of smell or taste - this means you've noticed you cannot smell or taste anything, or things smell or taste different to normal

The details of the location will be given to you when you book. If Wandsworth is not shown as one of the options when you book, the council has advised to try again later.

You can find out more about being tested here.
