October may be approaching but it doesn't feel like it, with warm weather expected until the end of the week.

This summer hasn't been the greatest weather-wise, however, it is certainly dragging on nicely for those who hate wearing trousers.

By the end of next week we will be in October and gearing up for some cold weather - but no need to look too far ahead, as until next week you can expect highs of at least 21 degrees every day.

Today (September 22) until Friday (September 24) is set to be gorgeous, with sun expected throughout, while the weekend is meant to be a bit more cloudy but still have that warmth around.

Here is the forecast for Wednesday September 22 - Sunday September 26, as per the Met Office.

Wednesday (September 22):

If you're reading this and not working then what are you doing? Get outside!

Wednesday is set to be a cracking day of weather with sun expected throughout apart from a tiny bit of cloud cover at around 3/4pm.

Highs of 21 degrees are expected, though there may be a breeze of up to 15mph at points.

Thursday (September 23) :

Still a warm day expected - highs of 21 degrees - however, there will be plenty more cloud cover on Thursday.

One positive is that the sun is due to come out at around 5pm for an hour or two, so a good opportunity after you finish work for a nice walk or run.

Iit will feel a bit gustier with 20mph winds expected at around 1pm.

Friday (September 24):

This could be the day of the week so it's worth making some plans to get out this Friday.

It looks to be a day of sunshine with highs of 22 degrees - what a great way to kick off your weekend.

Sunset will happen at 6.55pm and the evening will be a bit cloudier, so worth trying to get out the door as soon as you've finished work on Friday.

Saturday (September 25) - Sunday (September 26) :

Frustratingly, the sun of Friday doesn't look as if it will hang around all weekend.

Nevertheless, if you had plans to get outside then they shouldn't be scuppered. In fact, highs of 21 degrees are expected on both Saturday and Sunday, with very little chance of rain.

There also should be a bit of sun coming out in the afternoon on both days.

This forecast information has been taken from the Met Office website and is subject to change.
