This weekend, Tooting Community Kitchen served over 150 meals to people in need at their weekly food bank.

The kitchen gives food and refreshments to those who need it on Wednesday and Saturday every week.

From 6pm the community lined up in the cold to receive their free meals, drinks, and takeaway bags.

Ollie Couillaud, head chef at London Hilton and cook for Tooting Community Kitchen, said:

"Every week we see numbers of people in need growing and without the support of our sponsors, donors, cooks, gardeners, rebel bakers and oof course the dedication of our amazing team of volunteers, none of this would happen."

Ollie says the number of people attending the food bank is growing every week - and so is the support from the community.

Tooting Community Kitchen teamed up with PINT (People In Need Today) for Saturday's food bank.

A spokesperson for PINT said: "One thing is for sure when the head chef from the London Hilton is cooking, you know there's going to be a treat in store for those in need."
