Residents from Tooting and Earlsfield have come together to thank the waste and recycling service for their continued hard work throughout the virus.

Earlsfield Nub News will be launching on 1st February.

The waste and collection team has continued to keep the borough going with consistently good service.

This has been amplified over the recent holiday period with Wandsworth Council's tree collection service which saw thousands of Christmas trees disposed from doorsteps and recycled.

Writing on social media, one Earlsfield resident said: "I'd like to say a really big thank you to those who have collected my rubbish and recycling for the 20 years I have lived in this area - and particularly during covid."

A Tooting resident said: "Yep, love my bin men, if I'm outside when they're emptying my bin, we always greet each other, they are the best guys ever."

Residents of Wandsworth have one of the UK's lowest council tax bills but that hasn't meant any cut in quality.

An Earlsfield resident said: "Agreed. We have some of the best teams working for us and they're always so cheerful too! We need that at the moment."

Earlsfield Nub News will be launching on 1st February.
