A Furzedown resident has had their car stolen while self-isolating due to the coronavirus.

The car was stolen from Ramsdale Road, by the tennis courts near Furzedown Recreation Centre.

It is believed to have been stolen between 29 December and 8 January.

Chris Young and his family were, unfortunately, shielding after catching the virus - which meant he was not able to check on the car.

The MGB GT has been in Chris's possession for 22 years.

Chris told Nub News: "If anything, I hope this spreads awareness to people in the community to remain vigilant."

Chris's neighbours believe they might have seen the car being driven away sometime near the beginning of the month.

The police are aware of the theft.

Chris has contacted Graveney School for any possible CCTV footage.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of the car, Reg no OGH864E, should contact Chris at 07958 231447.
