Mouse infested butcher shop forced to shut instantly and pay £16,000 fines
A Tooting butcher house was fined £16,000 after a spot inspection due to a series of food safety and hygiene breaches.
Mouse droppings and urine, dead insects and filth could be found on food packaging.
Councillor says women and children are being 'failed' in temporary accommodation
Local Bedford ward councillor Hannah Stanislaus shared some footage with Nub News which shows the state of Carnie Lodge temporary housing unit.
The councillor is also in temporary accomodation and says the social housing situation in Wandsworth as a 'crisis'.
Wandsworth Council responded by rejecting the claims.
Head of nursing at St George's hospital shares delight after siblings thank them following thunderstrike
Three siblings made global news last week as they took a picture from the moment they were struck with lightning as thunderstorms rained over the UK.
Thankfully, all were okay and they were grateful for the work of the hospital, much to the delight of the head of nursing.
Local woman wins London public speaking competition
Jo Lightfoot won a London-based speaking competition and has reached the national stages.
She won despite being interrupted mid-speech and will have a go of winning the national contest in October.
A mother in Tooting was robbed of her card in broad daylight at a busy cash machine.
She warned others about the potential fraud and suggested people stop taking out cash when it's busy in Tooting all together.
Tooting athlete performs in her last performance before Olympics
Katie Snowden put in a strong performance in the Diamond League, her last race before going to the Olympics.
She ran a strong time in the One Mile event in preparation for Tokyo, where she will be performing in the 1500m for Team GB.
