Tooting MP Allin-Khan urges businesses to sign up for new 'safe space' initiative for women and girls

Tooting's MP Dr Rosena Allin-Khan is starting a campaign in the wake of Sarah Everard's death to try and provide safe spaces for women and girls.

The idea is that these businesses will offer a space that women and girls can go into if they feel unsafe outside to call the police or charge their phones.

The details for Tooting Common's Green Flag Award ceremony have been announced.

The flag will be hoisted up the new flagpole this week - found out more within the article.

The moment 400 Pakistan cricket fans took over Tooting High Street celebrating famous win over India

History took place last week as Pakistan defeated India in the T20 Cricket World Cup.

Tooting High Street erupted as a result of the win, with over 400 Pakistan fans coming out and celebrating.

We spoke to a photographer who was on the high street who also took some brilliant photos and videos from the event.

New ULEZ zone begins - all you need to know

The new ULEZ zone has been extended to parts of Wandsworth to try and clean up London's air.

The existing zone has been extended to cover part of Putney, Wandsworth and Battersea.

Tooting care home fails to tell daughter that mother had died for 2 weeks

An Ombudsman report has said that a daughter was not notified about her mother's death for two weeks.

While the home attempted to contact the daughter, they were unable to make contact with her. As a result, she complained about the home not keeping proper records and contact details.

The care home also did not manage Mrs M's personal belongings or her finances properly, according to the report.
