The moment 400 Pakistan cricket fans took over Tooting High Street celebrating famous win over India
Videos and pictures have shown the joyous scenes in Tooting after Pakistan beat India in the ICC T20 Cricket World Cup.
The Pakistan cricket team created history as they thumped the favourites by 10 wickets in Dubai.
There simply isn't a fixture in cricket that has more significance, so it was no surprise to see that the result was felt by Pakistan cricket fans all over the world, including Tooting.
As the game came to its conclusion, "easily 400" fans came out into the street to celebrate the win, with cars beeping their horns and chants of 'Pakistan Zindabad' (meaning 'victory to Pakistan') ringing around Tooting.
The celebrations went on for hours on Tooting High Street, with all of it being done in the right spirit, as you can see from the video.
Tooting Nub News spoke to one of the fans who was celebrating that evening, Tariq Sheikh, a photographer who managed to capture these special moments.
Tariq and his wife were eating in Lahore Karahi during the game, where he and many other fans were keeping up to date with the game on their phones. He was gently reminded by his wife to keep the volume down, but it was soon to get much louder.
"As we walked up the high street we heard this huge roar, 'Pakistan Zinzabad' they were all shouting with flags and cars parked on the side of the roads," he said.
"Pakistan fans had taken over the high street! There was no malice; it was all in a fun way and everyone was happy.
"It was a bit of a release. People were so emotional and everyone was going bonkers.
"There were lots of families going up and down the high street, there was even one guy giving out free streets.
"It was a massive crowd. Easily 400 Pakistani fans in the street. It was party time - the Pakistan news media have gone crazy."
Not only have Pakistan got the bragging rights in this historic rivalry, but they also have a real opportunity to reach the semi-finals of the T20 World Cup.
Apart from India, they have New Zealand, Afghanistan, Scotland and Namibia in their group, with just the top two sides going through.
If they can find their way through to the latter stages, then these might not be the only celebrations we see on the streets of Tooting in the coming weeks.
Tariq kindly let us use his footage as he wanted this win to be celebrated by as many as possible. You can check out more of the videos by going to his Twitter page (@photoSheikh).
