Tooting Pocket Park could be completed by the end of August

Tooting Pocket Park is nearing its completion, however, Wandsworth Council is still waiting on a delivery from the manufacturers before it can be finished.

Workers could be seen at the park in recent days, but more equipment is needed from a delayed delivery to get it all finished.

Midwife consultant at St George's encourages pregnant women to have vaccine

Pregnant women have been encourage to take the Covid-19 vaccine when it becomes available to them.

This was said by a consultant midwife at St George's, who mentioned that there has been a worrying rise in the number of unvaccinated pregnant women across Intensive Care Units.

Bedford Hill gets £1m facelift

Areas of Bedford Hill are now looking greener thanks to a £1m facelift.

The council have announced a series of improvements, include new trees, shrubs and safety measures.

Graveney principal praises school's 'resilience' as over 300 get into first choice university

Over 300 A-level students from Graveney got into their first choice university.

Additionally, nine got into Oxbridge and five will be starting medical/veterinary courses.

Wandsworth Council changes Plough Lane parking plans amid unrest

Wandsworth Council U-turned on its new parking plans for the areas around Plough Lane.

With AFC Wimbledon finally welcoming fans into its new stadium, the council had plan on introducing week-long controlled parking zones (CPZs) in the residential area, however, this has now changed.

This will extend the CPZ restrictions to 9.30am to 9.30pm from October 1 but only on match and event days, before the plan was for restrictions every day of the week.
