Balham resident left 'heartbroken' after bike is burgled from inside her home

A Balham resident is 'absolutely heartbroken' after her bike was reportedly stolen from inside her house.

Laura Barclay, Balham, says intruders broke into her house twice throughout the early hours of Tuesday morning.

Laura told Nub News: "They first came in at 12.30am and took two bikes from the upper hallway.

"My neighbours heard them and alerted me, we reported it to the police, checked the lock was secure and those of us who were awake pulled the remaining bikes into our flats.

"Then they came back at 4am and stole a bike from the top floor of the house.

"I was awake as I hadn't been able to sleep and I called 999 after seeing a figure in a black hoodie, through the spy hole, carrying something."

Have you seen Laura's bike?

The bike is a Liv Avail SL 1 Disc and iridescent blue in colour.

Small pedals which you clip cleats into and a speedometer on the handle bars and two neon green lights, one on the handlebars and one at the back under the saddle.

It has two water bottle holders, one black and one silver. One wheel has a wheel reflector on it and the tyres are continental gator hardshell.
