Christmas is getting nearer and nearer, which means it can't be long until Tooting's Christmas tree will go up in lights.
It might be a little bit too early to start getting excited yet, but it has now been confirmed that on Tuesday December 7, the lights on Tooting's tree will be turned on.
Brian Albuquerque, the former Tooting town centre manager and the man who runs Tooting Town Twitter page, confirmed to Tooting Nub News that a gathering will be taking place on the corner of Mitcham Road and Church Lane - where the Christmas tree will be put up.
People from all around the town are being encouraged to attend.
There will be lots to keep the family entertained, including carols being sung by Sellincourt School Children's Choir, as well as a reception with mince pies and mulled wine at St Nicholas Church afterwards. Yum.
Keep up to date with things going at Christmas by reading Tooting Nub News. Christmas and Tooting go together like salt and pepper - just look at some of the great community spirit last year, when residents all came outside for a sing-along on Chasefield Road.
