On midnight of Friday October 16, Tooting and the whole of London moved into 'Level 2' restrictions.

This means that all residents can not meet socially with friends and family indoors in any setting unless you live with them or have formed a support bubble.

This includes private homes, and any other indoor venues such as pubs and restaurants.

In the above video, the leader of Wandsworth Council Cllr Ravi Govindia explains the new Tier 2 restrictions, asks everyone to follow the rules in order to stop the spread of Covid, and tells residents that the council will be there to support vulnerable people.

Wandsworth Council has said that every home will receive a leaflet giving information on the new restrictions, what to do if you have symptoms & the support available from the council.

A newly launched government map allows you to see exactly how many cases of coronavirus there is in the area.
