The new restrictions will be enforced on Saturday

Tooting and all of the capital will be banned from meeting other households indoors from Saturday - including inside the home or a pub.

Travelling on public transport is also being advised against and only to travel when necessary.

Sky News reported that Health minister Helen Whately told London MPs of the decision during a call this morning.

You can read a full set of measures in our previous article.

The new additional measures will be as follows:

• People must not meet with anybody outside their household or support bubble in any indoor setting, whether at home or in a public place.

• People must not meet in a group of more than 6 outside, including in a garden or other space.

• People should aim to reduce the number of journeys they make where possible. If they need to travel, they should walk or cycle where possible, or to plan ahead and avoid busy times and routes on public transport.
