The leader of Wandsworth Council, Ravi Govindia, has looked back on a challenging year for Tooting and Wandsworth borough.

In his annual New Year message to residents, Ravi looks forward to what he hopes will be a brighter future in 2021.

He thanks all the people that have helped the borough tackle Coronavirus, including binmen, care home staff, teachers, NHS staff and others who have battled on the front line to provide vital services.

And he asks local people to continue to support local shops and businesses and reassures residents that the council remains committed to fighting climate change, building homes for local people and investing in local schools, parks and libraries.
