Tooting's morning briefing: delays on Garratt Lane and rain forecasted all morning

Tooting's weather
According to BBC Weather, we're beginning to pull away from that summer hangover that has been providing so much nice weather. The chances are you're reading this with rain pouring outside your window, and there could be showers until about noon.
After that, it should actually be far nicer, with sunny intervals expected and highs of 18 degrees. Pollution: LowUV: Low
Traffic and travel
As of the time publishing (8.30am), there have been no accidents on the roads, however, there is a lot of early morning traffic.
According to the AA's traffic news , the A214 is and A24 are both very congested, as they tend to be on a Monday morning.
There is also a congestion warning on Garratt Lane which was first reported at 6.53am this morning, which says there is just an average speed of five mph.
It says: "Delays of three minutes and delays increasing on A217 Garratt Lane Northbound between Victoria Road and Garratt Terrace. Average speed five mph."
The Northern line is running as usual without delays. Fingers crossed we stay like that for the day.
