Did you know that the borough of Wandsworth is host to around 10,000 days of filming a year, meaning that on any one day there could be three film crews dotted around?

And that one in ten movies shot in London, is shot in Wandsworth.

Tooting's iconic lido has been the backdrop to plenty of British TV dramas.

Those colourful changing room doors could be identified within half a second.

But did you recognise your beloved Tooting in these two movies?

Snatch

As the largest freshwater swimming pool in Britain, Tooting Bec's Lido has a bit of a reputation.

Did you know that none other than Brad Pitt was shot in those turquoise waters?

Pitt was plunged in the lido for Guy Ritchie's comedy Snatch back in 2000.

Although you would be forgiven for not realising as really it could have been anywhere.

Common People

This one is really a love letter to Tooting Common.

Common People was a small budget indie film that turned out to be an underdog at film festivals.

The 2013 movie is set entirely on the common and weaves together six stories and more than 30 characters triggered by the disappearance of a precious parrot.

It was inspired the two writers and directors, Kerry Skinner and Stewart Alexander's, daily walk on the common and a poster they saw for a missing grey parrot.

If you've not seen it yet, why not curl up and watch this ode to Tooting?
