Tooting Broadway residents have been speaking out following a 'suspicious woman' knocking on their door at early hours of the morning and late at night (12th November).

The woman has been described as a 'white lady, late thirties' with long dark hair.

A resident who lives in the Tooting Broadway area said: "We have had the same woman at 3:30am this morning and tonight now ringing the doorbell and saying she needs help - and don't think she does - watch out is my message."

Multiple other residents in the area have said they had the woman knocking around the same time.

A resident who lives on Carlisle Way said: "Oh I had her knocking last night about 3.30am, I didn't open.

"I didn't even see her - didn't want whoever to spot me if I peeked out."

Some residents believe that the woman may have truly been in need.

One resident said: "Sadly there are sometimes emergencies when the door is rung at odd hours."
