A Tooting resident has spoken out on social media about the constant fly tipping in their area.

The St Benedict's Close resident said they're 'becoming increasingly upset and frustrated' by all of the fly tipping.

Photos of the loitered rubbish show the full gravity of what is being left around the area.

The resident said: "We have done everything we can think of, emailing the council, our MP, 100s of email to the managing agent, along with neighbours."

Other Tooting residents have been sharing their advice.

One resident said: "St Benedicts is virtually gated as it is so a lockable gate will secure it.

"Also, set up a residents group to increase your voice. Work with your ward councillor to sort out regular fly-tip collections.

"We live in Graveny Ward and we have a street champions scheme set up by our ward councillor and we all work together to report fly-tipping to keep our ward cleaner.

"Work in progress but it is bearing fruit."

Smugglers Way Waste and Recycling Centre is operating a six-month pre-book trial in the hopes to reduce long-standing queuing problems.

You can book a slot for the centre here.
