Tooting Ward Police said they had to remind residents of lockdown rules over the weekend.

As the whole country remains in lockdown until December 2nd, people are not allowed to mix in large groups inside or outside of their home.

It is understood that police dispersed people from inside Tooting Market on Saturday.

Nub News has contacted the police for comment on this.

Writing on social media, Tooting Ward Police said: "Great shift out with SPC Thomas (aka Bino) reminding "forgetful" members of the public that we are STILL in lock down.

"Please adhere to the rules as you limited few are ruining it for everyone else!"

The Tooting Ward Police team added that they had to remind more people of the rules in the first lockdown.

They said: "Hopefully if we all stick together (2 metres apart) we can get through this."
