Tooting's 'Meggezones' advertising sign has come third in the 'Ghost Signs World Cup'.

The term 'ghost sign' refers to 'an old hand-painted advertising sign that has been preserved on a building for an extended period of time'.

The Ghost Sign World Cup was held in a series of Twitter polls by Sam Roberts, the author of a Kickstarter photography book aptly named 'Ghost Signs'.

Tooting's 'Meggezones' sign lost out to Battersea's Peterkin and Shoreditch's Bloom's.
