Football's back and crowds are back through the turnstiles - so why not go and support your local team this weekend?

Take a look at our What's On page to see some of the exciting things happening in the area. You can even advertise your own event for free by clicking the 'Nub It' button.

This week for our Event of the Week, we have Tooting and Mitcham United's first home league game of the season.

Kick off will be at 3pm at the KNK Stadium (previously known as Imperial Fields).

What you need to know about the event

It's very early days but the Terrors have gotten off to a shakey start. After being knocked out of the FA Cup by Erith and Belvedere, they lost 3-0 in their first league game away at Westfield on August 14.

Nevertheless, they have a string of home games on the bounce now and it all starts this weekend when they face Thatcham Town.

The club play in the Isthmian South Central division, which is in step four of the non-league pyramid and tier eight on the English football pyramid.

With players such as Michail Antonio having come through the youth system - who became West Ham's all-time Premier League top scorer during the week - it's well worth having a look at some of the quality, local talent on offer in the area.

How to buy tickets

Tickets cost £10 for over 18s, £5 for concessions (over 60 years, NHS workers, armed services and students) and £1 for those under 18.

To buy them online, all you have to do is click on the following link - it's far cheaper than watching Palace, and you're much more likely to see a goal too.

If you don't want to buy your ticket now then you can purchase them on the gate, however, each ticket will cost £1 more than it would online.

The KNK Stadium is located on Bishopsford Road in Mitcham.
