22nd Jun 2021 | Local News

21st of June may not be the day we expected it to be, but there's still plenty going on in Tooting this week.

Take a look at our What's On page to see some of the exciting things happening in the area. You can even advertise your own event for free by clicking the 'Nub It' button.

This week, our Event of the Week is Cardio Tennis, which is being run at Tooting Common tennis courts as well as other courts around Wandsworth.

Cardio Tennis is a series of tennis-based drills and activities played to up-tempo music on a tennis court - and your playing standard really doesn't matter.

The event, ran by All Star Tennis, is more about burning calories, keeping your heart rate up and enjoying yourself. Whether the ball goes in or out is irrelevant as the main purpose is having fun.

Additionally, if it's your first time attending the session then it is completely free. From then onwards it is £10 if you are an All-Star Member Plus, or £13 if you are a free member.

Sessions run between noon and 1pm on Tooting Bec Common on Thursdays, or on Sundays between 10am and 11am.

Anf if Tooting Common doesn't work for you, you can attend the other sessions in Wandsworth at the times mentioned below:

King George's Park: Tuesdays 8pm to 9pm or Thursdays 8am to 9am.

Wandsworth Common: Mondays and Fridays 10am to 11am.

To book, simply call 020 8871 4706.
