Coronavirus infections have dropped off within the local area, recent statistics reveal.

According to the latest statistics (October 28 - November 3), there are currently 808 people with the virus within Wandsworth Borough - 16 less than the week leading up to October 28.

This means there has been a decrease of 1.9 per cent, with there being 245 cases per 100,000 people as per the Gov.uk website.

Nightingale Lane is the local area that has seen the biggest increase of cases , with 17 new positive tests taking its overall total to 37 (85 per cent increase). 444.7 people for every 100,000 have the virus in that area.

Despite Wandsworth's decrease, it still has a higher rate than the average within London. The London rate is currently 253.5.

Nevertheless, the Wandsworth infection rate is still less than both England and the United Kingdom, which is 386.7 and 391.2 out of 100,000 people.
