Tooting and Mitcham United kick-off FA Cup campaign - all the details

Tooting and Mitcham United will be hosting their first competitive game of the season on Saturday in the FA Cup.

Erith and Belvedere will be coming to Imperial Fields, where they will battle it out in the extra preliminary round.

Kick-off will be at 3pm on Saturday (August 7).

You can purchase your tickets from the Tooting and Mitcham United FC website.

Adults cost £10, concessions are £5, while anyone under the age of 18 gets in for £1.

Don't worry, if you've forgotten to get your ticket online, you can still get them at gate but it will just cost an additional £1 on each ticket.

The game

The Terrors will be facing Erith and Belvedere FC, who are a step below them on the footballing pyramid, playing in the Southern Counties East Football League (tier 9).

This will be the final game before the first team start their league campaign, where they travel to Westfield the week afterwards in the Isthmian South Central division.

If Tooting and Mitcham get through this tie, they will enter the preliminary FA Cup. There are five preliminary stages beyond the extra preliminary round, meaning the club is six games away from the first round proper, where clubs from League One and Two join the competition.

The club's best-ever performance was reaching the last 32 in 1976 (Round Four) which would be eight wins away. The club beat clubs such as Crystal Palace to reach this stage, but unfortunately lost 3-1 to Bradford at Valley Parade.

Go down and support the club this Saturday!
