Business partners Jack and Adam set out to create a restaurant and takeaway that delivers fresh vegan food with a difference.

Their creation 'Vbelly', situated in Tooting Market, has become a popular stop for vegans as well as carnivores.

"It's all about creating fresh tasty food in a fast produced way," Adam told Nub News.

Vbelly's menu is divided into 'Nibbles' and 'Belly Thumpers'.

The starter 'nibbles' include 'Sea-leriac', which features beer-battered celeriac fingers and chip shop curry sauce.

Customer favourites also include Shroom Bombs (wild mushroom aranchini balls) and Vebabs (a spiced seitan kebab wrap, pickled cabbage, salad, chilli & garlic sauce).

The menu has stayed fairly static since launch as Adam says Vbelly wants people to know what they're getting.

He added: "We don't want someone to enjoy something then realise they can't get it the next time they visit."

The business has been going for two years and has built up a loyal base of customers through delivery and dine-ins.

Where many eateries are closed on Monday, Vbelly is proud to operate on a seven day basis.

Adam said: "Part of staying open seven days a week is that everyone knows they can always get to you.

"No one has to think about when we might be shut."

Vbelly originally opened under the name 'Herbies' and had an admittedly slow start.

When they first opened inside the newly launched 'Yard Market' section of Tooting Market it was difficult to get noticed.

"The footfall just wasn't strong," Adam continued.

"It took time for people to realise we were here."

The business is now busy seven days a week and after a hugely successful 'Eat Out to Help Out' month, it shows no sign of slowing down.
