Residents have been reacting to the temporary toilets that have been installed in Tooting Common.
The council listened to resident's calls for more facilities after back-and-forth letters and communication.
A council spokesperson told Nub News that they have not 'set a deadline' for how long the temporary toilets will remain in operation.
They added that they 'will keep the situation under review'.
Poor toilet facilities compared to neighbouring commons has been a long-time talking point for those passionate about Tooting Bec's greenspace.
FOTC (Friends Of Tooting Common), a collection of local residents who work to make the common the best it can be, previously wrote to the Council and Enable Parks to address its current state.
The council previously told Nub News they were 'assessing ways' to 'increase provision' on the common after issues of human excrement were brought to their attention.
The toilets are situated on the side of Dr Johnson's Avenue near the zebra crossing.
Peter Ramsell, a member of FOTC, said: "We (FOTC) are glad that the Council and Enable have installed these - a point we have been raising for some time."
Another resident said: "Hurray! Thank you to whoever made this happen."
