Man caught smoking cannabis on Wandsworth Common arrested

A man who was caught smoking cannabis on Wandsworth Common has been arrested for 'possession with intent to supply' and the 'cultivation of cannabis'.

Police officers from the Nightingale Ward and Wandsworth Common SHT were conducting plain clothes foot patrols last Monday (April 19) when they caught the man.

A police spokesperson told Nub News: "Nightingale Officers came across a male who was smoking cannabis on the common.

"He was searched to which an amount of cannabis was seized from his person. He was arrested for Possession with intent to supply a Class B Drug.

"Upon a search of his home address we also found a quantity of cannabis plants, to which the male was further arrested for cultivation of cannabis."

Police officers in Wandsworth Common, Earlsfield and Tooting say they will continue to patrol 'high crime' areas in plain clothes as well as their high visibility patrols.
