Pret A Manger will be opening a new branch in Balham, right next to the tube station.

The coffee and sandwich chain has confirmed to Tooting Nub News that it will be opening a store in Balham at some point this year.

While Pret has not confirmed where the shop will be, Balham Newsie has said that it will be replacing the Santander on 200 Balham High Road, which is situated right next to Balham's tube stop and railway station.

The shop will join a number of coffee shops near the station, including Marcus Balham, AMT Coffee, The Apple Blue, and other well-known chains such as Costa Coffee and Cafe Nero.

The shop currently has no signs of Santander or Pret A Manger and is boarded up. However, with the chain saying it will be open by the new year, you can expect some movements sooner rather than later.

Look out on Tooting Nub News for any updates about the shop opening.
