Popular Tooting pub unveils new outside seating area

By The Editor 8th Apr 2021

A historic Tooting pub has unveiled its outside seating area to welcome back visitors on Monday 12 April.

The Ramble Inn, situated on Mitcham Road, has been serving the residents of Tooting and Wandsworth for 22 years.

Dr Rosenna Khan, Labour MP for Tooting, previously called the pub 'the definition of community'.

The new seating area has 14 tables for customers to sit at.

The pub is also continuing to offer takeaway drinks.

James (Jimmy) Crowe, landlord, previously told Nub News that he is thankful for the community's support through an 'extremely challenging' year.

Jimmy Crowe previously told Nub News: "It hasn't been easy but we take these restrictions extremely seriously.

"Many of our regulars are part of the elderly community in Tooting and we want to make sure they're feeling safe and secure in our pub."

The pub is also sporting Draw My Town's iconic Tooting print on the wall.

The Ramble Inn celebrated its 22nd birthday in Decemeber.

Vicky R (@Sod_pot) previously wrote on twitter: "19 years since my first pint in there. Can't wait for more normal times, and not having a newborn at home, so I can get back.

"Happy anniversary."

The pub worked through its birthday in Tier 2 restrictions, where they worked hard to offer substantial meals to serve visiting customers.

New fridges and other equipment were invested in to make sure the pub could open and continue operation.

The Ramble Inn is excited to get back to serving their regulars and new faces after a long lockdown closed.
