Police are able to stop and search anyone in Tooting and the borough without 'reasonable grounds' following a double stabbing in Wandsworth yesterday evening.
Officers on patrol came across a number of males fighting on Garratt Lane, near Southfields Shopping Centre, at around 16:58hrs on Thursday (29 October).
Two males were found near the Garratt Lane Burial Ground suffering knife injuries.
One victim, believed to be aged 15, was taken to hospital, where he later sadly died. His next of kin have been informed.
The second victim, also believed to be 15, sustained injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening. He remains in hospital.
It has been confirmed by the police that two males have been arrested - one on suspicion of GBH and one on suspicion of affray.
Earlier this week, Nub News reported on a large 'Rambo knife' being seized from a man in Tooting.
Both males remain in police custody.
[H3] A Section 60 order has been authorised for the whole borough, which means that police are able to stop and search anyone without the need for 'reasonable grounds'.
An extensive crime scene is currently in place as well as road closures.
The police has asked anyone with information, video or images to call 101 and reference 'CAD 5042/29 Oct'.
