A man was killed after he was hit by a train at Tooting Bec Station yesterday (Jan 17).

Emergency services streamed to the scene at midday yesterday.

Over ten police and ambulance vehicles were seen lining Balham High Road.

A spokesperson for the London Ambulance Service told Nub News they sent an incident response officer, medics, and the London air ambulance to attend the scene.

A spokesperson said: "We were called at 12:31pm this afternoon (January 17) to reports of a person injured at Tooting Bec Underground Station."

"Sadly, despite the efforts of medics at the scene, a person died."

The British Transport Police have confirmed they are not treating the death as suspicious and the man's next of kin has been informed.
