Man charged with murder of 15-year-old in Wandsworth

Detectives investigating the murder of a 15-year-old boy in Wandsworth have charged a man.

Imran Boujdellal, 19-years-old (25.09.01) of Bronti Close, SE17, was charged with murder on Saturday, 31 October.

He is due to appear at Wimbledon Magistrates' Court today.

Police were called at 16:58hrs on Thursday, 29 October to reports of a fight outside a supermarket on Garratt Lane, SW18.

Two males were found near the Garratt Lane Burial Ground suffering from knife injuries.

The first victim was taken to hospital where he later died, he has been formally identified as Joseph Marafini, 15-years-old, of Wandsworth.

An investigation led by detectives from the Met's Specialist Crime Command (Homicide) is underway, and specially trained officers are supporting his family.

A post-mortem examination will be carried out in due course. The second victim's injuries have been assessed as non-life threatening. Two further arrests have been made in connection with the investigation.

A 17-year-old male was arrested on Thursday, 29 October on suspicion of affray. He has since been released without further action.

A 17-year-old male was arrested on Saturday, 31 October on suspicion of murder. He remains in custody at a south London police station.
