One year on from the tragic murder of George Floyd, Stand Up To Racism Wandsworth is holding another 'Take The Knee' event in Tooting.

Tuesday 25th May will see residents taking the knee outside Tooting Broadway Station to stand in solidarity with the Black Lives Matter movement.

A spokesperson for Stand Up To Racism Wandsworth said: "Despite the denials of the Johnson government the #UKisnotinnocent and institutional racism is a fact of life for millions of people in Britain."

The event will be taking place from 6pm.

All attendees have been urged to wear masks.

Stand Up To Racism has also called on unions across the country to organise a Take The Knee event during their day at work.

As well as the physical events, a 6pm 'Twitterstorm' will be taking place with the hashtag '#TakeTheKnee'.
