A new Tooting history walk will lead attendees through the life of Albert Hill, a gold medalist in the 1920 Olympics.

The brilliant track and field athlete was originally from Trevelyan Road in Tooting.

He won two gold medals in the 800m and 1500m.

Geoff Simmons will be leading the walk in light of the athlete receiving a Blue Plaque outside his family home in July.

The walk will be taking place on May 29th at 2pm, meeting at Tooting Broadway Station.

Residents are also invited to attend the unveiling of the Blue Plaque on 24th July.
