A former Tooting resident and artist has included an iconic pub in his popular 'TOOTING' artwork piece.

Ben Poultney, creator of Draw my Town, has drawn The Ramble Inn at the front and centre of the print to be displayed in Ramble's outdoor pub garden.

Ben told Nub News: "I used to visit the Ramble Inn years ago as I lived on Crowborough Road, literally one minute walk away.

"My Irish housemate and I would make the most of their live music and friendly atmosphere.

"I look forward to seeing this exclusive artwork on display, ready for all to enjoy when the world is normal once more.

"I'm making a promise here and now, once it's up in the garden, I'm going to sit there with my Irish bestie drinking our fair share of Guinness, and buy a pint for everyone that stops and has a peruse."

The locally famous 'TOOTING' artwork

The locally famous piece which depicts iconic parts of Tooting has become a staple for Ben's business and has resulted in more areas getting the Draw my Town treatment.

"I decided then to put it all into one image. Really creating a picture of what Tooting is like."

At the beginning, Ben would put every purchaser into the image.

Ben said: "I loved doing this, but it did become a lot of work to keep up with."

You can find the original print hanging in Tooting Market.

About Draw my Town

Draw my Town is an art business with a major twist - the purchaser is able to be drawn into the original image.

After deciding to leave his job as a Practice Manager in health care, Ben Poultney embarked on a journey to follow his passion for art.

Ben stayed working on his craft and learned the business side of things as he went along.

The Draw my Town model allows three options - buy a print, personalise a print or commission.
