Coronavirus cases have been rising in Tooting and across the borough according to new Public Health England data.
You can see the data on an interactive map here.
Our borough has seen 207 new cases of the virus in the seven days leading up to June 3rd.
Tooting East saw ten new infections, doubling from the previous week.
Cases have also rose in Tooting North, Tooting West, Tooting Bec Common and Earlsfield.
Tooting East is 'above average' according to PHE in terms of infection rate.
Earlsfield South, Earlsfield North and Wandsworth Common has seen a steady increase over the same period.
Earlsfield North remains slightly 'above average' according to PHE data.
Wandsworth Council previously thanked the many thousands of people that took part in the recent surge testing programme to control the South African strain of COVID-19.
This increased testing took place after a number of cases of the variant were identified in the borough.
Over the course of two weeks over 80,000 tests were taken by residents and those that work in Wandsworth.
Now the Indian variant is believed to be the most dominant in the UK.
The council is continuing to promote caution and regular testing from residents.
