A footballer who played for Balham as a youngster has allegedly had an offer from Barcelona.

According to journalist Ekrem Konur, Barcelona have made a move for Fabio Carvalho, 19, whose contract at Fulham expires in the summer.

Fabio Carvalho is a former Balham FC youngster, playing at the club between the ages of 12 and 15.

Carvalho has a Portuguese father and was born in Lisbon, but moved to England as an 11-year-old. He was previously at Benfica before Balham and moved to Fulham afterwards.

Right now he's one of the most exciting prospects in the Championship; he has scored three times in seven appearances this season, and Barcelona's arch-rivals Real Madrid are also said to be after the attacking midfielder.

There is some serious interest domestically, as well. Liverpool could be the favourites for his signature, according to TEAMtalk.

Fulham are extremely keen to extend his deal, however, reports suggest that he has turned down their latest offer and another offer is seen as unlikely, as per The Athletic.

While it could be bad news for Fulham as they could lose another academy prospect, to see him move to one of the biggest clubs in the world would be a hugely proud moment for Balham FC - a club who were only founded in 2011 and play in the ninth tier of English football.
