With high temperatures and the relaxation of lockdown rules over the past week - residents have been flocking to Tooting Common to socialise in the new rule of six.
While the sight of a busy Common has been nice to see, it's unfortunately brought some classic spouts of litter.
The video above shows Tooting Common on Monday morning (28 March).
Uploaded by @elliepyemont on Twitter, it shows the mass amount of waste that was left seemingly from the night before.
Ellie wrote: "So much litter and waste left on #Tooting common this morning - grim and depressing #lockdown."
Yesterday (31 March) a resident said they were 'very saddened' to find a large pile of pizza boxes and beer cans near Woodfield Pavillion.
The resident said: "Day 1 of outside gatherings / sunny day and welcome to the rubbish.
"I'm amazed that people think it's OK to leave the common in such a state.
"How hard can it be to put the empty cans etc in the bin you had to walk past?"
Tooting MP Dr Rosena Allin-Khan has recently called on residents to share their experiences with waste and litter.
"The issue of litter in our community is a growing concern for me, and no doubt for many residents," Allin-Khan said.
"I think it's time to #TidyUpTooting, and I want to hear your views on this important issue."
Residents have also been complaining about the increase in rats across the Common.
Many believe that it's due to the amount of rubbish being left by visitors.
In the past, residents have called for more bins to be installed - however, some residents feel this won't fix the problem.
One resident said: "I don't agree that we need extra bins. On sunny weekends, there would simply never be enough bins to take everyone's rubbish, no matter how many are provided.
"We need everyone to understand that, when the bins are full, they need to take their litter home with them."
Another resident added: "They can carry it there they should carry it back."
