Police have released CCTV footage of a man following a violent assault before the Euro 2020 final.

Do you recognise the man in the photo? If so, British Transport Police (BTP) want to hear from you as they believe he may have information that can help their investigation.

On July 11 at nearly 7pm, a man travelling on the London Underground from Wembley Park to Tottenham Court Road was approached by four men travelling the same route.

One of the men in the group accused him of following them and another ushered him to move closer to them on an escalator.

The man then punched the victim in the face, causing him to fall backwards down the escalator. The assailant fled with the rest of the group, exiting Tottenham Court Road Underground station.

After the victim followed them out of the station, two other men in the group pushed him and hit his phone out of his hand. The fourth man in the group then racially abused the victim, following which all four men left the scene.

The victim suffered a broken arm and injuries to his back.

A statement from BTP says: "At just before 7pm on Sunday 11 July, an hour before the start of the Euro 2020 final, a man travelling on the London Underground from Wembley Park to Tottenham Court Road was approached by a group of four men taking the same route.
