Tooting: Increase of over 25 per cent for coronavirus infections in borough

Coronavirus cases have increased by over 25 per cent in Wandsworth over the last week, recent statistics reveal.
As per the latest statistics (November 13 - November 19), there are currently 1256 people with the virus in the borough - 260 more than the week leading up to November 13.
This means there has been an increase of 26.1 per cent, with there being 308.9 cases per 100,000 people as per the Gov.uk website.
Furzedown West is the local area that has seen the biggest increase of cases , with 19 new positive tests taking its overall total to 36 (111.8 per cent increase). 414.6 people for every 100,000 have the virus in that area.
Wandsworth has a higher infection rate than the average within London. The London rate is currently 313, compared to Wandsworth's 414.6 per 100,000.
The Wandsworth infection rate is still marginally less than both England and the United Kingdom, which is 424.4 and 427.6 out of 100,000 people.
