The Northern Line temporarily closed between Morden and Tooting Broadway earlier due to a fire alert in South Wimbledon.

5.40pm update

There are still minor delays due to the fire alert, however, the latest TfL update says it is not specifically between Morden and Kennington.

5.15pm update

There are now only minor delays between Morden and Kennington (northbound only) due to a fire alert at South Wimbledon. The rest of the line is running fine.

The TfL website says : "Northern Line: Minor delays between Morden and Kennington northbound only due to an earlier fire alert at South Wimbledon. GOOD SERVICE on the rest of the line. Valid London Underground tickets will be accepted on London Buses and South Western Railway."

There is currently no service on the Northern Line between Morden and Tooting Broadway.

Transport for London is currently responding to a fire alert at South Wimbledon.

The rest of the line is currently operating as usual and those who have valid London Underground tickets can use them on London buses and South Western Railway trains.

The TfL website says : "No service between Morden and Tooting Broadway while we respond to a fire alert at South Wimbledon. GOOD SERVICE on the rest of the line.

"Valid London Underground tickets will be accepted on London Buses and South Western Railway."
