The community celebrated a landmark birthday of an iconic Tooting pub over the weekend.

The Ramble Inn, situated on Mitcham Road, has been serving the residents of Tooting and Wandsworth for 22 years.

Dr Rosenna Khan, Labour MP for Tooting, called the pub 'the definition of community'.

James (Jimmy) Crowe, landlord, previously told Nub News that he is thankful for the community's support through an 'extremely challenging' year.

As the pub has been forced to operate in Tier 2 restrictions, the establishment worked hard to offer substantial meals for affordable prices.

The Ramble Inn bought new fridges and other equipment to make sure they were able to remain open and continue serving the community.

Birthday wishes from the community

Vicky R (@Sod_pot) wrote on twitter: "19 years since my first pint in there. Can't wait for more normal times, and not having a newborn at home, so I can get back. Happy anniversary."

Molly Coughlan (@mollycoughlanx) said: "Happy birthday to the best Irish bar in London."

CAMRA London (@CAMRA_London) said: "Well done - the pub trade has taken such a battering and everyone working in it deserves our thanks for the work they do day in day out to keep us happy."

Happy birthday to The Ramble Inn!
