Christmas and New Year waste and recycling collection dates announced

The dates for Wandsworth Borough's waste and recycling collection over the festive period have been announced.

Some residents in the borough have had their usual bin days amended, while many areas have stayed the same.

A spokesperson for the council said: "Your rubbish and recycling will be collected on your normal collection day over the Christmas period, apart from Christmas Day (Friday 25 December) and New Year's Day (Friday 1 January)."

What has changed?

Collections due to happen on Friday, December 25 will instead take place on Saturday, December 26.

Collections due to happen on Friday, January 1 will instead take place on Saturday, January 2.

A free Christmas tree collection will also take place every two weeks in January.
