Could snow fall over Tooting on Christmas Day?

Are you dreaming of a white Tooting Christmas?

After such a turbulent year it would be fitting if we could enjoy a perfect Christmas Day.

The last time the country has seen a truly white Christmas with snow settling on the ground was 2010.

This was an "extremely unsusual" year, the Met Office says.

In fact, snowfall is more probable between January and March than December.

Tooting forecast

The first weather forecasts for Christmas Day 2020 in Tooting have been made.

And it unfortunately looks unlikely that we are going to get any snow.

The rain is due to pour down for a few hours from midday, but Christmas is looking like a mostly overcast affair.

A temperature high of 6C means it'll be best to sit next to the chestnuts and roast by an open fire.
