Tooting's borough of Wandsworth has been listed in the top ten places in England to ride a bike.

UK Sigma Sports were able to compile the report by considering the amount of times a month an adult will ride their bike.

Wandsworth came in sixth place with 32.6% of adult residents saying they ride their bike once per month and 27.8% once per week.

In first place came Cambridge with more than half of adult residents riding once per month and 44.8% once per week.

Oxford, Hackney and Lambeth then made second, third and fourth place.

The 10 most bike friendly areas in England all have over 25% of their adult residents riding a bike at least once a month and 20% of adults riding a bike at least once a week.

At the bottom of the pile came Kingston upon Thames and Elmbridge with only 23% of adults riding bikes at least once a month.

With concerns over the environment increasing, travelling in urban areas via bike has become more popular, particularly since the pandemic.

UK Sigma Sport also reported that the top three bike friendly cities in Europe were Berlin at number one, followed by Seville and Brussels.
