Tooting woman saves poorly baby fox

By The Editor 8th Apr 2021

A Tooting woman was forced to look after a poorly baby fox after it appeared in the garden without its parents.

On Easter Sunday (4th April) the woman uploaded a photo to social media of the fox - asking for help from local residents.

After much advice, one resident said to call The Fox Project, a group that deals with sick and injured foxes.

A specialist team came to take care of the young fox.

In an update to invested residents, the woman said:

"He's been taken by the fox project to be checked out and they might try and reunite with mum later this evening.

"So pleased he is being looked after.

"They said he is dehydrated and cold so they are giving him fluids and warming him up slowly.

"They think he might have been rejected by his mum.

"Hopefully he makes a full recovery. He was so cute!"

The woman has been praised for her kindness and time.

One resident said: "Thank you for your kind act, you just saved one little life! Thank you for your time and efforts."

Another said: "Splendid. Heartwarming. You have done a very good thing."

We have contacted The Fox Project for an update.
